About the business
KAV are high end audio, lighting design, home theatre and home technology installation specialists in London. As a result, and being design specialists, they needed an office design that met their high standards. Being recommended to our client, they felt they may have found the perfect partner with our wall panels. We could help them refurbish their office without compromising on finish.
Durability in high traffic areas
The corridors in the offices required refurbishment, a task that involved durable and easy-to-clean products due to their high traffic. Because of this, we used our Reco High Gloss Marble Finish and Reco Design White Croc wall panels to give the client exactly what they needed. These wall panels provided both the office and showroom a high-end finish without high costs.
Hygienic and easy clean:
The bathrooms on this project were one of the most fun designs we've created using our Reco Design Picture Panels. In addition, we added Reco Mosaic tiles to compliment the Picture Panels. All of our Reco panels are a great hygienic option with no grout to clean.
Complete the full range
The client was so happy with the look and feel of the products already installed they asked us back. The client needed to update the kitchen walls and with it being a larger area the cost of tiling was too expensive. We used Reco Gloss in the kitchen area as a great alternative to tiling and its easy to keep clean too.
Challenges overcome
Two challenges needed to be overcome from such a large project:
- Disruption to colleagues and visitors:
With the panels being up to five times quicker to install the time it took to complete the project was just 2 days. This meant that colleagues could continue to work around the installation. There was also no unsightly building work for visitors to see.
- Costs and style:
The style shouldn't be compromised while keeping costs low. With installation only taking 2 days and the product being 70% cheaper than tiling this was the perfect option for the client.
What the client said:
The entire project needed to be finished in 2 days including the bathrooms. There was no way we could have done it with conventional tiles so we were so excited to have found Reco and their innovative system. Even the fitters were impressed with the speed and ease of the product and the finishes draw a lot of interest from our architectural clients.
